2009 Tournament Info
Vernon Watkin Motors Mustangs
The Watkin Motors Mustangs play in the Okanagan Mainline Amateur Hockey Association and represent the Vernon and North Okanagan region in PeeWee Tier 1 competition. In October 2008, the Mustangs tied for fifth at the Abbotsford Icebreaker Tournament. In November, Vernon won the silver medal at the Cranbrook PeeWee Tournament competing against teams from BC, Alberta and Washington.
The team is made up of five players returning from the team which won the 2008 Winter Carnival Tournament along with eight other second year players and four rookies. The coaching staff of Tony Dolinar, Jay Geefs and Jeff O’Keefe demands a strong work ethic and responsible play in all areas of the ice.
On behalf of their sponsor, Watkin Motors Ford, the Mustangs wish all of this year’s competitor’s good luck.
