2010 Tournament Info
Kent Valley Rainiers
The Kent Valley Rainiers proudly represent the Kent Valley, Washington Hockey Association. Kent Valley is a member of the Pacific Northwest Amateur Hockey Association which is the Washington state affiliate for USA Hockey. We compete in the Pee Wee AAA division and are currently ranked #20 nationally and #1 in the US Pacific District. Our team competes against British Columbia Tier 1 teams in tournaments and exhibitions, as well as nationally against teams from the West Coast and Midwest. Our team includes all 2nd year players. Last year we posted a 29-11-3 record and finished as the runner-up in our state championship tournament. This season we are attempting to become the first team from Washington State to qualify for the USA Hockey, Pee Wee Tier 1 National Championship in more than 30 years.
Our head coach, Adam Kurtenbach emphasizes puck movement, skating and creativity. Coach Adam is a Vancouver native with deep roots in the BC hockey community. Our program philosophy is Players First. Player development and enjoyment are our top priorities. Our players work hard on and off the ice and we recognize players who achieve honor roll status in school with a coveted helmet sticker signifying their achievement.
We have heard nothing but wonderful things about the Coca Cola Classic Pee Wee Hockey Tournament and are very anxious to participate in 2010.
