2010 Tournament InfoVernon Watkin Motors MustangsThe Watkin Motors Mustangs are a PeeWee Tier 1 hockey team that represents the City of Vernon, B.C situated in the northern region of the beautiful Okanagan Valley. The Mustangs compete and are currently 3rd in a very competitive league as part of the Okanagan Mainline Minor Hockey Association. This year’s team consists of sixteen second year players and one first year. So far this season the team has participated in the 7th Annual, International Seafair Icebreaker Tournament in Richmond, the Darcy Robinson Memorial tournament in Kamloops and the PeeWee Ice Tournament in Cranbrook. Each tournament has brought to our team an increased level of play and performance on and off the ice. This commitment and hard work from our players and coaches has enabled the Mustangs to compete with teams from Oregon, Washington, Alberta, Saskatchewan as well as many high caliber teams from British Columbia. The Mustangs coaching staff is lead by Keith Chase and assistant coaches Murray Caton and Greg Olson. All three coaches have played and been involved with hockey in B.C. all their lives. A strong knowledge, experience and love of the game is brought to our team by our coaches who believe in commitment, hard work and team play. Keith is also a returning participant in the Vernon Winter Carnival. In 1979 Keith played as a Watkin Motors Peewee player and was a proud winner of this historical tournament.click to enlarge
