The Watkin Motors Mustangs play in the Okanagan Mainline Minor Hockey Association and represent the City of Vernon, B.C. (population 50,000) in the PeeWee AAA league. The league is comprised of four very competitive teams at this level. The Mustangs are in first place in league play. In October 2006, the team won the Icebreaker Tournament held in Abbotsford, B.C. This tournament brought together the top PeeWee AAA teams from across B.C. The Mustangs also placed 4th in the 32-team Regina tourney in January.

The coaching staff is lead by Ross Jewell along with assistant coaches Cheryl Soleway and Doug Head. The coaching staff brings together a wealth of knowledge and has instilled a strong work ethic which stresses speed and commitment.

The team is comprised of twelve second year players and five first year players. The Mustangs are returning as the winners of last years Coca-Cola tournament. After winning their league championships in 2005/2006, the Watkin Motors PeeWee AAA Mustangs finished third in the provincial playoffs.
